LAS VEGAS -- Urijah "The California Kid" Faber collected a basic purse of US $56,000 for stopping Takeya Mizugaki at WEC 52, according to the Nevada State Athletic Commission.
That included a $28,000 win bonus. Faber picked up another $10,000 from the WEC for submission of the night after choking out the Japanese bantamweight in the first round Thursday night. Mizugaki made $10,000.
Commission numbers do not tell the whole financial story since fight organizations do not detail all bonuses.
