Martial Arts Training Experiences To Share

Martial Arts Training: Do you have an awkward experience while training in martial arts? A Karate Teacher told me in the early 1990s "Why do you want to learn BJJ, a good karate man will take your eye out?" It was a trial class so I proceeded to smash his upper belt's nose during sparring.  Yes I stated "but why not take out his eyes and choke simultaneously just like animals in nature?" Needless to say I trained elsewhere in MMA with Carlos Newton & SWAT/ETF Sgt. Sharky because I wanted the best from many forms.  Everyone must choose their own goals and paths and this was simply my path.

"We are all climbing different paths through the mountain of life, and we have all experienced much hardship and strife. There are many paths through the mountain of life, and some climbs can be felt like the point of a knife..

Some paths are short and others are long, who can say which path is right or wrong?

The beauty of truth is that each path has its own song, and if you listen closely you will find where you belong.

So climb your own path true and strong, but respect all other truths for your way for them could be wrong." (Dan Inosanto, innovator of Bruce Lee's multidisciplinary study of martial arts called Jeet Kune Do)
